Goldwing Express is a Bluegrass, Country and Gospel band that is originally from Okmulgee, Oklahoma. The band consists of three brothers and their father. Their mother, Juanita, who was a full-blood Native American Creek Indian, named the band “Goldwing Express” after their hobby of riding Goldwing Motorcycles in the 80’s. When their children were young, they decided to buy the boys instruments. Thirty-seven years later, they are still entertaining. A segment of their performance is often dedicated to their Indian Heritage and they wear Native American headdress to represent their Creek Indian tribe. From 2003-2006 Goldwing Express was nominated for Bluegrass Entertaining Band of the Year by SPBGMA (Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America) and has won the Valley Star Family Entertaining Band of the Year in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas for 4 years running.
Today the family performs in Branson, Missouri from February-November at the Branson Famous Theater as well as shows at other area attractions, a five week tour in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, and they also sponsor an annual Carnival Cruise. This year alone they will average over 700 show dates. Goldwing Express is all about entertaining folks. “We love and strive to make folks happy when they come to see Goldwing Express in concert.”
